It's time for Lareau Farm's annual Opera Picnic in the Pasture, part of the Green Mountain Opera Festival. Bring a blanket and relax in the meadow while the notes wash over you. Snack on your own picnic or enjoy some American Flatbread.

August is Art in the Valley!

Participate in an array of events in this valley-wide festival including a local artists gallery in our own Art in the Big Red Barn. Lareau Farm hosts the following events:

Art in the Big Red Barn, running the duration of the Festival, showcases two and three dimensional art by over 20 local artists. Peruse while you wait for your table at American Flatbread, or make a special trip to visit.

Sunday, August 3 from 5 - 7 pm, all welcome.

Our Berry Vinegar and Flatbread Salad Dressing Workshop (below) includes berry picking, a cooking workshop, & a flatbread luncheon. Join us August 5th or August 12th as we harvest raspberries at Hartshorn Farm and head back to Lareau Farm Kitchen to create our reknown Ginger-Tamari Vinaigrette from start to finish. Take home a pint of raspberry vinegar and salad dressing to share at home. Reservations required!

Build a Fairie House August 4th. Collect fairie home furnishings (leaves, feathers, twigs, and flowers) and build a fairie's dream house to take home.

Come to shake your feet and boogie... it's a Lareau Farm Community Dance, Wed, August 21:

Kingsbury Community Farm Initiative Corn Roast and Community Dance.  Come out and support a great community effort that has saved a local farm from future development and has assured the property will remain affordable for future farming generations.  Proceeds will go toward the purchase of the farm’s conservation easement.
