| The
Mad River Valley is chock-full of activities for all shapes
and sizes. For instance, there
is hiking along the Long Trail, canoeing and kayaking on
Vermont's lovely rivers and lakes (including our dear Mad
River), and silently soaring in glider planes from the Warren
airport, where you can also watch polo and have a picnic.
Road and mountain biking are very accessible, as is golf
and horseback riding. Cool off the old fashioned way at
Warren Falls or Lareau Swim Hole, or take advantage of one
of the many nearby sports centers, where you can also swim,
play tennis, enjoy a massage, take a sauna or a variety
of excercise classes. There is a terrific Farmer's Market
every Saturday where you can meet local artisans, stock
up on organic groceries for the week, and sit on the lawn
enjoying live music and neighbors.
Or--Goodness
Me!--you could go activity-less and just put your feet up
with a juicy novel or watch the clouds float by without
a care in the world.
CULTURAL
